The problem

Finding work shouldn't be a second job.

Without us

You check the city's permit records, scroll through hundreds written in permit-speak and guess which ones mean work. By the time you find a good one, someone may already have called.

With Baltimore Permit Alert

One email every weekday morning with only the jobs for your trade, biggest first, with the address and what's being done. Open it, pick your jobs, make your calls.

What it's worth

Searching 30 minutes a day adds up to more than 10 hours a month. We give that time back for $99. That's less than $10 an hour.

How it works

We do the searching. You do the work.

  1. Tell us your trade

Pick what you do and the neighborhoods you work in, or the whole city. Takes two minutes.

  2. We search and sort

Every weekday we go through every new Baltimore City permit, keep the ones that mean work for your trade and rank them biggest first.

  3. You get there first

One email lands before your day starts. Each permit says why it's yours. Call, knock or mail a card while the job is fresh.

Questions
Where do the permits come from?

Baltimore City's public permit records on Open Baltimore, the city's open data site. The data is free. We pull it every day, sort it by trade and send you the part that matters to you.

How fresh is it?

The city usually posts a permit within a day or two of issuing it. Each morning's email has every permit for your trade that showed up since your last email.

Which trades do you cover?

Flooring, painting and drywall, cabinets and countertops, blinds, dumpsters and hauling, cleaning, security, fencing and landscaping, pest control, property management, and signs. We picked them from what Baltimore actually permits each week.

Is this the city's permit office?

No. We're not affiliated with the City of Baltimore. To apply for a permit, go to the city's Department of Housing and Community Development.

Do you share people's personal info?

No. We strip names, phone numbers and emails out of permit notes. Members see the address and the scope of work, which are part of the public permit.

What about Baltimore County?

City only for now. Tell us on the form if you want the county.
